Astrofest 2019

Astrofest will be back in 2019 with an astronomically awesome FREE event the whole family will enjoy!

2019 will be Astrofest’s 10th Anniversary and we have some special highlights planned. Save the date and celebrate with us! More details to come.

5.30pm – 9.30pm, Saturday 16th March 2019 at Curtin Stadium
This astronomy festival of epic proportions is an engaging celebration of Western Australian astronomy and stargazing.
Information from the 2018 event is included below to give you an idea of what will be included in our 10th Anniversary event. If you would like to participate by bringing a telescope to the event please contact Astrofest Telescope Coordinator Lindsay Clarke Thank you.

Taking place at Curtin Stadium on Saturday the 16th of March, this astronomy festival of epic proportions will be an engaging celebration of Australian science.

As well as optical and radio telescopes observing throughout the day and night, Astrofest will feature a myriad of interesting, engaging and exciting indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family.

There will also be many different telescopes to try out, or you can bring your own for some expert advice in getting the most out of it. Bring an early supper and make yourself comfortable in the picnic area.
